DARQ

I have several exciting performances coming up with the DARQ ensemble. DARQ is a reed quintet comprised of Boston Conservatory students. Differing from the traditional woodwind quintet, a reed quintet features oboe, alto saxophone, clarinet, bass clarinet and bassoon. On tap for this semester is Marc Mellits’ work Splinter. This set of eight miniatures, each named after a different tree, demonstrates the wonderful color and versatility of the reed quintet ensemble.
